To start off the show, Ty talks about how his readers are obsessed with hurricanes, and SOTW gets some positive listener feedback, which Jay promptly sets out to destroy. As Jay attempts to quit smoking, he starts a conversation with Ty and Mitch about the ritualistic nature of our habits an addictions. First, they look into the rituals of humans as a whole and why people have the need to provide order for themselves, and then the gang looks into their own personal rituals and habits. Ty and Jay welcome back Mitch this week as Meredith is still stuck in the middle of Missouri somewhere. To start things off, Ty has a plan to get all new equipment by hawking cigarettes, billboards should be illegal and an all around complaining session about driving ensues. After a Ferguson-heavy Sounds Of The Week, news centers around a study that found one out of every three people are in the FBI database, which has SOTW wondering why our system has deemed damn near everybody to be a criminal.

Ty, Jay, Meredith and Ron discuss all aspects of the protesting, from what happened the day Michael Brown was shot, what the protesting is really about, and whether or not the police are just in using force. Then they talk about what possible solutions are available to not only end the violence, but to change these kind of situations going forward. This episode ends with a game of “Movie Star, Porn Star, Loser”.

Meredith breaks her haitus and returns for one week to talk about the story that has dominated the news cycle: Ferguson. She is joined by friend of the show and long time listener Ron, who attempts to bring an older perspective to the show (also: burps). This week starts off with Mormon masturbation manuals and Meredith's hobo living, then moves to a special Sounds Of The Week, as Ty conducted interviews at the Kansas City protest for Ferguson, asking both black and white people how they view the police. Finally, news this week is about the death of Robin Williams, how we view suicide and depression, and how people on Twitter and Facebook are reacting to it.

The basis of all religions and the meaning of life comes from the biggest question of all: how do you view death? Ty, Jay and Tiffany discuss how they feel about death and dying and the various ways they’ve learned to accept their impending doom. The second segment focuses on the afterlife, and how their beliefs on the subject affect the way in which they live their lives. This episode ends with Ty an Tiffany going head to head in the internet trivia game “Mouse”.
