Ty finally got the interview he's been anticipating for several years: 311. Unfortunately, a tragic act of racism and domestic terrorism struck Charleston, S.C., this week. SOTW would be remiss to ignore it, so the gang explores how the United States allows racism to happen and perpetuates acts of violence such as these. Focus is a prog rock band that formed at the very beginning of the genre. With a heavy influence in classical music, the band has a unique sound that includes flute, yodeling and long themes. Achieving international success with the song "Hocus Pocus," Thijs van Leer has kept the band alive for several decades. Ty got a chance to talk with him about everything from the '70s music scene to music today.
